The Oklahoma Sooners should be 2-4 in SEC play right now. Instead, they are 1-5, after losing a game that was more than winnable. In fact, they were up with just a few minutes left. A holding call on the Sooners' defense, that wasn't a holding, gave the Mizzou offense new life. They then scored on a Theo Wease Jr. touchdown to tie the game for the Missouri Tigers.

Tie ball game, and the Sooners have a chance to march down the field to win the game with under a minute left. And, what happens? Well, an infamous Jackson Arnold turnover, this time a fumble, like most of them. He had a fumble earlier in the game that was a first-down run. Then he had this one that the Tigers scooped and scored.

The Sooners have consistently killed themselves with their own turnovers. They take one step forward just to take two steps back, and that's just not something that they can keep doing. Obviously, look at their record.

But, the majority of the blame for the turnover issue has to fall on Arnold. It has to. Head coach Brent Venables let everyone know very bluntly that Arnold's issue isn't good.

“Obviously, we have to do a better job there," Venables said after the game to the media.

Arnold has 11 fumbles this season and has lost six of them paired with three interceptions. He has played in eight games this season, and already has nine total turnovers.

And, he doesn't really have an interception problem. When it comes to throwing the ball, he will really only throw it if he knows it will be completed, or not throw it at all and miss Deion Burks wide open. The fumble issue has to stop.
