The Oklahoma Sooners may be in trouble when it comes to some of their offensive line depth. Obviously losing one player doesn't make or break depth across the entire offensive line, but it certainly doesn't help them in 2025.

It's only spring, and yet the drama is everywhere for the Sooners once again, and a large portion of it seems to be happening in the tranches on both sides of the ball. The David Stone saga is dominating headlines, as the former five star defensive tackle could be on his way out of town.

However, while all that was going on, the Sooners losty another player that isn't being talked about enough. And, he also happens to be a player in the trenches. However, he is not as big of a player as Stone is when it comes to role and recognizablity. But, he's important nonetheless.

Joshua Aisosa has entered the transfer portal.

Sooners OL Joshua Aisosa enters transfer portal

Joshua Aisosa is an offensive lineman for OU, and a guy that the Sooners will miss when it comes to depth on the offensive line, something they really needed last season, and could need this year again.

A three-star recruit from Edmond, Oklahoma, he played high school football at Santa Fe High School, earning first-team all-district honors. Aisosa signed with OU on December 20, 2023. His commitment was a big deal for local fans and media, being that he grew up in the area and a Sooners fan.

In 2024, as a freshman, Aisosa was part of OU’s offensive line, coached by Bill Bedenbaugh. At 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, he has the size and athleticism to grow into a key player. The offensive line faced tough competition in OU’s first SEC season, and Aisosa was part of the group building depth.

But now they will be without him. And, while he was a bit down the depth chart, he was a player that the Sooners could use anytime they need to go to their depth.
