On Wednesday, Brent Venables had his weekly 10 minutes during the SEC Teleconference hosted on Zoom. The last few weeks have been about the struggles, how the team can get better, or what the issues are. This one seemed much more positive. A big-time SEC win on the road will do that.

And, it also helps when you have the tape backing up the improvements, despite all of the things working against the team. Well, of course, there's the fact that the Sooners could also get three very key players back, too.

One of them we know for sure will be back against the Texas Longhorns, because Venables said he would. He mentioned that kicker Tyler Keltner, who has been money for most of the year, will be back. And, he said two key weapons could make their way back, too.

"Expect to have an opportunity to have both of those guys back," Venables said of wide receiver Deion Burks and true freshman running back Taylor Tatum.

Burks is the best wide receiver on the roster, and that's not really up for debate. Tatum is a true freshman, but when you turn on the tape, he has been the best running back. He's been great at turning nothing into something with the bad blocking offensive line ahead of him.

The Sooners, as well as the Longhorns, have a bye week before their big rivalry game. That will only help more players get healthy. By next Saturday, we could see even more key players get healthy, as a bye week can be a true blessing.
