The Oklahoma Sooners have been killing it in terms of recruiting. Their 2025 class was recently ranked a top 10 class over the Texas Longhorns after landing offensive tackle Michael Fusasi, but then the Longhorns jumped them again after landing another five-star player. Now, the Longhorns sit at six with the Sooners at 10.
Now, with their 2025 class potentially wrapped up, their attention has turned to 26’ and 27’, and rightfully so, as there are some really good prospects up and coming, and the Sooners want to land as many as possible to make their team better.
Against the Houston Cougars this weekend, they will have even more reason to whoop up on a bad team in the Big 12. The Cougars are bad, maybe the worst team in the Big 12, but at this moment we just aren't sure because it's so early, and who knows, head coach Willie Fritz could turn things around.
However, let's just say the Sooners picked the perfect week to host a future recruit this weekend.
According to Marshall Levenson of Rivals, the Sooners are set to host 2027 wide receiver Boobie Feaster during their match against the Cougars. Levenson mentioned that he was originally scheduled to visit with LSU this weekend, so, this will be good for the Sooners to show what they can do, after LSU just lost to USC, while OU is looking to go 2-0 on the year.
This is a great opportunity for the Sooners to show the future players how good they are.
