To start the month of June, the Oklahoma Sooners played host to a slew of talented recruits across the 2026, 2027, and 2028 classes with some major camps and recruiting events. As they start to enter the final stretch for the class of 2026, the Sooners are once again hosting a vast majority of their targets for the class over the weekend.
The annual ChampU BBQ that the Sooners host is one of their biggest recruiting events of the year every season, and it's a chance to make one last major impression on these recruits before the upcoming recruiting dead period.

There are some reports that the Sooners will try to bring in elite 2026 quarterback Bowe Bentley in this weekend. I'm not certain that will happen, as he has stated his desire to go back home with his family after the Elite 11 camp this week. If it does, however, it's a very good sign for the Sooners.
Of these commits, Jake Kreul is their top priority target. The borderline five-star pass rusher from IMG Academy is someone the staff views as the kind of player they can build their defense around. Kreul has a great relationship with defensive ends coach Miguel Chavis, and the Sooners are hoping that will help secure his commitment to Oklahoma.
Much was made about Oklahoma "missing" on Mason James, a local Norman product who elected to commit to Washington last week. However, the Sooners have pivoted to other wide receiver targets, such as the aforementioned Jordan Clay, as well as other players like Davian Groce, Jayden Petit, and Dallas Dickerson.
It might seem underwhelming to see so many three-star recruits on this list, but Oklahoma is taking swings on talented multi-sport athletes they can develop to fill out the depth of their class while making the high-end recruits their priority.
