The Oklahoma Sooners only have a few players committed for their 2026 class. But, that's not alarming at all. In fact, most big schools are about halfway done with their class. The Sooners currently only have four players committed to OU for the 2026 season. But, according to On3, the Sooners have over 200 offers sent out. So, it's not like they aren't doing their due diligence.
But having four isn't something to get scared about. Even Ohio State, the National Champions, has four at this current moment. The Sooners are working to get the best of the best at their program, whether it looks like it or not. The Sooners are trying to desperately get back to where they used to be, at or near the top of recruiting rankings every single year.
Right now they sit at No. 16 for their 2026 class with some pretty elite schools ahead of them, including USC, which has former OU coach Lincoln Riley with the No. 2 class in the country. But, for the Sooners, they have a player waiting for his official visit so he can take a player the Sooners have offered, and try to do a bit of his own recruiting.
“I want to take my buddy Jake Kreul… Whatever weekend he schedules, I’ll probably schedule the same,” Oklahoma Sooners offensive line commit Will Conroy told OUInsider.
That's the perfect tactic.
Kreul is one of the best edge rushers in the 2026 class out of IMG Academy and is currently looking for his next home. The Sooners could use some more guys on the defensive line, too, especially at the edge rusher position.
So, this is huge by Conroy to try and get a guy on campus at the same time, especially when you think about Conroy as a guy that hasn't even had his visit yet, yet he's trying to get guys to commit to OU.
