The Oklahoma Sooners have been predicted by a recruiting expert to land 2027 four-star athlete Demare Dezeurn, from Palisades, California.
Oklahoma only has one player committed to their 2027 class as of Monday, Sept. 8, and that’s three-star offensive lineman Luke Wilson. Steve Wiltfong of Rivals has the prediction for the Sooners to land Dezeurn at about 98%, almost guaranteeing that he goes with the Crimson and Cream over several other big-time schools.

Dezeurn is listed as an athlete, but he will likely be a wide receiver in college. When you turn on his tape from his sophomore year in 2024, he’s either catching slants and screens and taking them to the house, or he’s catching punts and kickoffs and taking those to the house.
The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete has some of the best change of direction you will see in the class. And, he has this uncanny ability to turn on the jets and blow past everyone whenever he wants to.
Being from Palisades, Dezeurn may have grown up a USC or UCLA fan, considering they are basically in the same town or metro area of Los Angeles. Yet, the Sooners could end up swiping him from right under USC head coach and former OU head coach Lincoln Riley.
And, that not only says a lot because of the proximity, but also because the Trojans have been recruiting as good as anyone the last few cycles. Dezeurn also has offers from schools like the Michigan Wolverines, Arkansas Razorbacks, the Ole Miss Rebels, and more.
Brent Venables and his Sooners need receivers in this 2027 class. They didn’t address the position as well as they may have hoped for the 2026 class, so 2027 will be pivotal in how they go about doing that. Dezeurn is the perfect player at the position for what Oklahoma needs, too.
