The Oklahoma Sooners are struggling mightily right now, despite being undefeated through two games. But, the offense has not really held up their end of the bargain so far in this early 2024 season. The defense has been great, but even with a great quarterback, impressive weapons, and a new offensive coordinator haven't quite translated over to an excellent offense.

Yes, they scored 53 points over Temple, a bad team. And those points, a large amount of them, came off of the backs of the defense getting the offense in great field position with the six turnovers they forced. So, really, the offense still wasn't great. They are now 5-26 on third downs, which really is just unacceptable.

They are having offensive line issues, and wide receiver issues in terms of depth, and even some of the run game hasn't worked out quite as well as they may have hoped. A few times last game the Sooners were tackled well behind the line of scrimmage on run plays, resulting in being behind the sticks on second or third downs.

The Sooners overall could be better, and they definitely need some more explosiveness with shots downfield and plays that have YAC potential. The 2025 class, one that is looking to finish as a potential top-eight class, has a few guys already committed to the Sooners that could help in that department.

On Friday night, Gracen Harris, a 2025 Sooner commit from Ennis, Texas, had one hell of a play, where he finished with nearly 200 scrimmage yards on the night in a big game that unfortunately saw Ennis lose to Midlothian 59-33.

However, Harris had one very impressive highlight, though, which came down the sideline, filmed by Parker Thune. Harris took a play 63 yards for a touchdown and casually acted like it was something he does every day. The kid is going to be good, and he's going to be good while wearing a Sooners uniform.

The four-star Oklahoma commit is an exciting player to watch that the Sooners could really use right now.
