Oklahoma Sooners are making people believe that they have their 'swagger' back before the 2025 season

But, you don't need me to tell you all of that — you lived it, and probably don't want to relive it. The good thing is, the Sooners have this feeling to them. It feels like 2025 is going to be a much better season. How good? Well, that's hard to tell, especially because they have maybe the hardest schedule in the country.
But this roster is certainly better than the one they had last year. This team certainly has better coaching in the areas where they needed it. Now, it's just about translating that onto the field. But man, it feels like they have their 'swagger' back as the Oklahoma football team that everyone knows about.
And some of the biggest college football analysts feel the same way.
I am all in on Oklahoma for 2025. My big question for them is, does what’s on paper for them actually translate to the grass for them? Because I love the piece of paper, and I don’t apologize for it. I don’t. John Mateer and what he was at Washington State, now coming to Norman, I’m here for it, dude. Deion Burks, a healthy Deion Burks, I’m here for it. Jadyn Ott from the calgorithm, I’m here for it. Defense, with Brent Venables, one of the best defensive minds calling the show, I’m here for it. Now, the problems last year for Oklahoma may not be fixed, but I think you’re in a spot where you can work with it. It’s tough to say your offensive line is fixed. I think you are improving up front. The weapons have to stay healthy. But here is my biggest thing I’m buying stock in. Doesn’t it feel like the swag is back at Oklahoma? It feels like there is a genuine buzz in the air that Oklahoma understands its Oklahoma. It didn’t feel like that was there last year. – J.D. PicKell, On3 analyst
And, let's get one thing clear — it didn't really feel like that last year. Ask yourself, how does it feel right now, about the 2025 season, compared to this time last year, and how it felt then? Last year, you had a huge question at the QB position. You had the question about Seth Littrell, and of course, no one really knew how the offensive line would be.
The bright side of it all is that we know the good things that the Sooners had last season, and that those things should be good going into 2025. In other words, the defense. Pairing that with the revamped offense should put this team in a position to win many more football games. They had a chance to win almost every game last season, but most of the time, the offense failed them.
2026 4-star running back committed to Oklahoma Sooners just got a very enticing offer from SEC foe
That would be a crazy flip.
