Sooners recruit who isn't even committed is telling every offensive lineman why they should go to Oklahoma

Going into 2025, it's no secret that the Oklahoma Sooners have to improve their offensive line if they want even a chance of having a better year than last season.
When you play in the SEC, you have to constantly prepare your trenches, and recruit years and years ahead for the trenches. That's where the SEC is won, and Brent Venables is doing just that. It may not feel like it, but they are really attacking both sides of the trenches.
But, the recruiting on the offensive line side has to be better. It has to be like what it used to be when Oklahoma was really considered one of the best offensive line schools in the country every single year. They have the coach for it, but now they need the players, and that comes in recruiting.
Right, they have two offensive linemen committed to their 2026 class. There is a four-star offensive lineman, Noah Best, who just committed a bit ago, and a three-star interior offensive lineman, Will Conroy. They are trying to add some more, and one of them they are pushing hard for seems to be leaning towards OU.
He isn't even committed yet, and he's telling every offensive lineman why they should go to OU.
“Coach Bedenbaugh is one of if not the best offensive line coaches in College Football!” – 4-star OT Deacon Schmitt via On3 on Twitter
Think about all of the players the Sooners have coached in that room over the last decade, with guys like Lane Johnson on the Philadelphia Eagles, Trent Williams on the San Francisco 49ers, and so many others who have come through OU. And, think about all of the guys Bill Bedebaugh has coached, and yeah, it's the right place to go. So, Schmitt isn't lying.
But he should take his own advice and go to the place with the best coach. On3 has a better than 30% chance to commit to OU, which is the highest of any of the schools he has an interest in. So, we will see if he does that.
2026 4-star running back committed to Oklahoma Sooners just got a very enticing offer from SEC foe
That would be a crazy flip.
