Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels continue to make the "final schools" list for top recruits across the nation this offseason. The problem is they keep winning the silver and bronze medals in too many battles (Ole Miss currently ranks outside top 30 in the 2026 class). However, they just lined up a few more commitment dates here recently where the Rebels could indeed come away as the winner this time.

And it's not been all losses. They landed the special athlete recruit Jett Goldsberry last week. Then they already got some potentially promising news on another four star wide receiver battle. Now they're set to compete for a top 2026 four star offensive line recruit this week too.

Kamari Blair, Four Star OT Recruit

Kamari Blair could be the most important recruit in the entire Ole Miss Rebels 2026 class if they actually pull off the win here. Blair is a top 300 offensive tackle recruit in the nation with great agility, flexibility, and hands to win with force in pass and run blocking.

If Ole Miss is going to take the next step in building a truly elite recruiting apparatus this is the kind of program defining battle that Lane Kiffin needs to start winning. The best programs build their trenches (on both sides of the ball) through high school recruiting. Ole Miss needs to begin making that a habit.

Blair announced over the weekend that Ole Miss is officially one of the final schools he's considering alongside the Tennessee Vols and South Carolina Gamecocks. Rebels fans won't have to wait long to find out if he's headed their way either. He's announcing on July 16th at 6pm CT (he's from Clarksville, TN).

A to Z Sports sources and other experts around the nation seem to believe this battle is really coming down to Tennessee and Ole Miss, but South Carolina at least made the final list here.

The Rebels have been pushing hard with Blair all spring long visiting with him a total of three times since March alone (officially and unofficially). It's clear Blair has been made a high priority.

Why all the attention and focus? He's really the best remaining offensive tackle prospect in the 2026 class that Ole Miss has a great shot to land. If they miss out that likely means the team will have to go portal shopping for another tackle next spring–not ideal.

Hopefully Kiffin closes the deal here so the Rebels can start building some much-needed recruiting momentum heading into the 2025 college football season.
