Lane Kiffin has posted three straight seasons with top 25 recruiting classes among the high school ranks and top 3 classes via the Transfer Portal according to recruiting services like 247Sports, On3, and Rivals. Now the Portal King is at it again, but this time even more impressively on the high school recruiting front!
According to 247Sports' latest 5 Star Recruit Rankings Reveal on Wednesday, Lane Kiffin's top wide receiver recruit int he 2025 class has earned his fifth star. Jerome Myles, a wide receiver from Draper, Utah is now officially ranked 31st in the nation among all high school football players according to the standard in college football recruiting (full rankings in the post below).
Myles plays his high school football for Corner Canyon, the Utah 6A State Championship winners. He averaged over 25 yards per reception last fall showing consistent ability to win on vertical routes, but also adding YAC consistently with his elite burst, agility, and speed.
Jerome Myles' elite speed sets him apart
Speed is really the key with Myles. He not only knows how to set up defenders to create separation, but also possesses natural NFL-ready speed that springs him open consistently. In fact, just this spring, he posted a verified 10.36-second 100-meter dash, breaking a Utah high school track state record!
Myles uses every bit of that speed on the football field and should immediately slot in as a big-play contributor in Lane Kiffin's offense as a true freshman next year.
This may seem like it isn't a big deal, but it's a huge step in the right direction for Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss' recruiting efforts as they enter a season where they could legitimately contend for a national championship. If the impressive on-field results continue more five star recruits could find their way to Oxford, MS in the future too!
