Ole Miss fans can now circle another date on their calendars as one high profile 2025 recruit has announced when he will make his college decision.

The Rebels are in pursuit of four-star safety Ladarian Clardy out of Pensacola, Florida. Clardy is highly regarded in the 2025 cycle and checks in as the nation's No. 17 safety prospect and the 28th-ranked player in The Sunshine State, per On3's Industry Rankings.

Clardy is now down to five finalists in Florida State, Mississippi State, Washington and UCF battling it out along with Ole Miss. However, it appears that Florida State and Ole Miss have a leg up on the rest. According to On3's Chad Simmons, Clardy will be making his decision on August 3.

“To be honest, I’m like everywhere right now,” Clardy recently told Warchant.com. “I’m just so confused. There are a couple of schools, like Florida State and Ole Miss, I’m very high on them. I have eyes on Mississippi State. But those two schools are up there."

Ole Miss fans might remember Clardy as the recruit who was riding shotgun around Oxford with head coach Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss currently has three four-star safety commits in the 2025 class, but it's better to have a surplus of defensive backs in today's landscape of college football as opposed to not enough. If the Rebels are able to land Clardy he will undoubtedly boost Ole Miss' 2025 recruiting class which currently ranks 27th nationally and 12th in the SEC.
