Who will win the Lane Kiffin sweepstakes?

The Ole Miss Rebels are hoping to retain Kiffin, who is in his sixth season as the head coach in Oxford, while programs like LSU and Florida are hoping to lure the in-demand coach.

There are also rumblings that the New York Giants could be interested in hiring Kiffin to replace the recently fired Brian Daboll.

As On3’s Chris Low said earlier this month, it’s a good time to be Lane Kiffin right now.

Ole Miss legend Patrick Willis makes strong statement about Lane Kiffin’s future in Oxford

Ole Miss legend Patrick Willis, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, told Games Hub before the start of the season that he thinks Kiffin will stay put in Oxford.

“What he has at Ole Miss right now is special,” said Willis. “Ole Miss has that old feeling of when a coach would be somewhere really good, that they would be there forever. I feel like with Lane, he likes it there so much, even if someone wanted to come poach him, offer him infinite money to coach (another) program, I think he would still stay at Ole Miss.

“What you’ve seen Lane manifest these last few years, it’s what people thought (he would be) at USC,” added Willis. “It’s always been in him. For some people, it takes a little longer to mature or get there. He’s there now.”

We’ll see what Kiffin decides to do after the season. Right now, I believe his full focus is on winning a national championship with the Rebels.
