Southlake Carroll (Tex.) junior wide receiver Brody Knowles announced he would be in attendance this weekend for Ole Miss’ SEC home opener versus the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 6-foot-4, 190 pound prospect will not only bring intrigue and interest to the Velvet Ditch, but he will also bring some celebrity status as well.

Knowles’ father, Mark Knowles, was a professional tennis player who won four doubles and mixed doubles grand slam titles during his 22-year career. He took home trophies from the Australian Open, French Open, US Open, and Wimbledon. The elder Knowles was also a five-time Olympian and an All-American during his time with the UCLA Bruins.

The 2027 recruit also has a brother who is a redshirt freshman quarterback at Georgia Tech.

His son has been a go-to wideout for the Southlake Carroll Dragons. As a sophomore, Knowles hauled in 39 passes for 554 yards and eight touchdowns. Now, he will get to see Lane Kiffin’s offense up close.

Ole Miss will get a chance to catch up to Oklahoma this weekend.

Knowles took a visit to Norman last weekend and came away impressed with the Sooners and Brent Venables in the win over Michigan.

“It went good,” Knowles told 247Sports’ James Jackson. “Really love it up there, gives me a great family feel! “He said that I would be a great fit in this offense and could put up some crazy numbers here.

“I mean, I want to really see like how they develop their players,” Knowles said, “and like if they can get into the next level and like have they been doing that and like they’re just really good like developing, you know, for like the long, long run.”

TCU is another Power 4 program on Brody Knowles’ radar.

Knowles was a huge part of Southlake Carroll getting back to the Class 6A Division II state championship for the first time since 2021. He finished the contest with six receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown, but the Dragons came up short versus Vandegrift – losing 24-17 and finishing the year with a 15-1 record.

Ole Miss has the SEC’s leading receiver in Harrison Wallace III and you can bet Knowles will be paying close attention to the wideouts Saturday. De’Zhaun Stribling has yet to get super-involved in the offense, but the Oklahoma State transfer is a big-bodied pass-catcher Knowles might be watching this weekend when the Rebels try to move to 3-0 against the Hogs.
