Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has entered a flip prediction for New Albany (Miss.) offensive tackle Emanuel Tucker. The national recruiting analyst thinks the 6-foot-5, 290 pound prospect will change his commitment from LSU to Ole Miss.

“Tucker has long been high on the board for the Rebels, who hosted him for an official visit at the end of May,” Wiltfong said. “At that time, he was committed to rival Mississippi State, but reopened his recruitment after the trip to Oxford. The following weekend, he was in Baton Rouge and the Tigers made a big move to ultimately land him on June 13.

“Kiffin and his staff kept the spatula handy though and got Tucker back to Oxford last weekend with his uncle and father,” Wiltfong said. “He told Rivals before the trip he was locked in with LSU, but the Rebels moved the needle in a big way and are expecting to have him in their class when all is said and done.”

Emanuel Tucker plays both ways for New Albany and Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner has taken notice.

The Rebels are recruiting the junior recruit on the defensive side of the football as an interior lineman as well. Tucker told me earlier this year he talks to Joyner the most from the Ole Miss staff. He says the line of communication is active, stating “we talk every now and then”.

Another SEC program is keeping tabs as well. Tucker says Mississippi State is the staff he hears from a good bit as well. He also mentioned Texas A&M. But, as Wiltfong has alluded to, a flip to the Rebels could be imminent.

Ole Miss defensive lineman Zxavian Harris has a similar build to the in-state target. He has carved out a nice role in Joyner’s defensive line room and seems poised for a breakout 2025. With Tucker’s already SEC-ready frame and athleticism, he is a name to watch as things start to turn to the 2026 cycle.

Emanuel Tucker was at Ole Miss for the season-opening win vs Georgia State.

Tucker is a popular recruit in the 2026 class. 247Sports’ Cooper Petagna is a fan of his raw, but skilled game.

“Nimble footed offensive lineman that possesses natural foot and body quickness at the offensive tackle spot but could be a better long term fit at the guard position on Saturdays. Hovering around 6-foot-5 and 300-pounds, Tucker’s basketball background is easily apparent on tape as he shows the ability to unlock and snap out of his hips in both pass and run sets while exhibiting enough natural athleticism to potentially stick at tackle at the collegiate level. With that being said, it’s the Mississippi native’s lower body strength and explosiveness that suggests a move to guard at the next level could be in his best interest. An elite thrower in both the shot put and discus events, Tucker’s lower body torque and explosiveness help him consistently establish the point of attack in a dominant fashion. Projects as an above average to good multi-year starter at the next level that should be able to add value as a serviceable tackle and a high end interior offensive lineman.” – 247Sports national recruiting analyst, Cooper Petagna
