The Ole Miss Rebels could be in danger of losing a key 2027 football commit.

2027 four-star quarterback Keegan Croucher has been committed to Ole Miss since early October, but that hasn’t stopped other programs from pursuing the New York native.

The Penn State Nittany Lions, for example, are one of the programs hoping to flip Croucher from the Rebels.

Penn State extends new offer to Ole Miss QB commit Keegan Croucher

Penn State, which recently hired Matt Campbell to replace James Franklin as the Nittany Lions’ head coach, re-offered Croucher on Monday.

Croucher, who also plays basketball and baseball, told On3 this week that he was high on Penn State before committing to Ole Miss.

“I think this new staff is hungry and ready to prove what they can do,” said Croucher of the Nittany Lions. “I’m excited to learn more about them.”

Croucher told 247Sports earlier this month that he’s “locked in” with Ole Miss, but that was before Penn State re-offered.

“I love it down there (at Ole Miss),” said Croucher to 247Sports a couple of weeks ago. “I have no desire to really look at any other schools. I am locked in to Ole Miss.”

Croucher, 6-foot-4/205 pounds from Fonda, NY, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 18 quarterback in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of New York.
