Ole Miss recruiting has ranked inside the top 17 overall classes in the nation five years in a row now. Lane Kiffin and his staff continue to put together excellent recruiting classes every year with a strong mix of high school and Transfer Portal recruiting. Now it seems Ole Miss recruiting is reaching for new heights with their 2026 recruiting class.
Lane Kiffin brought in a half dozen four star high school recruits in his solid 2025 class alongside a bunch of solid transfers, but he's already landed three high school four stars in the last month alone. Not only that, but Ole Miss finds themselves inside the top five schools for 20+ different high pedigree recruits right now. As of this week Ole Miss can add another to that total, and if they land him that could begin to lock in the best recruiting class Lane Kiffin has ever accumulated for the Rebels.
Nolan Wilson, Top 100 DL Recruit
Nolan Wilson is a top 100 overall recruit in the 2026 recruiting class and one of the best defensive line prospects in the entire country. At 6'4", 250+ pounds Wilson has primarily played defensive end, but if he continues to bulk up in his final season he may be able to shift inside along defensive fronts as well. He announced this week that Ole Miss is officially in his top five schools, which is a huge win for coach Kiffin especially because he's an in-state Mississippi talent.
Wilson will officially visiting with the Rebels on the weekend of June 13 and 14 this summer, so Kiffin and company should get one more good shot at convincing Wilson to join the team before he likely commits soon. Wilson is also seeing Alabama, Auburn, and potentially a couple others this summer. It would be a huge get for Ole Miss if they can land Wilson over key SEC rivals, but even if Kiffin can't close the deal here this recruiting battle speaks volumes as to where Rebels recruiting is right now.
Thanks to Ole Miss' four consecutive seasons with significant on-field success the Rebels are finding themselves in more and more tight recruiting battles with the best programs in the SEC for some of the most phenomenal players in the country. This was not the case just a few short years ago.
Ole Miss has ranked inside the AP Top 10 four years in a row, won 39 games in that span, and last year boasted the number one pass rush in the nation with the most pressures and sacks among any power conference program throughout the regular season. That's certainly enticing for talents like Nolan Wilson.
Ole Miss is hosting Wilson and 15 other blue chip recruits over the next four weeks. If Kiffin and his staff begin to close on any number of those four star (and better) recruits then the Rebels seriously might put together a top ten high school football recruiting class on top of what everyone knows will be yet another elite transfer group for next season. That could prove incredibly crucial in building around new starting quarterback Austin Simmons (and whoever comes after him).
