The Ole Miss Rebels will be well-represented on the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame ballot. Offensive linemen Terrance Metcalf and Michael Oher will be two former Rebels on the ballot which will be announced in early 2025.
Metcalf suited up fro Ole Miss from 1998-2001 an was a three-time All-American while receiving first-team honors in his final two seasons in Oxford. Metcalf, who is a native of Clarksdale, Miss., was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the third round (No. 93 overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft.
Metcalf's professional career spanned from 2002-2010 where he appeared in 84 games and made 25 starts. He is currently the head coach of Coahoma Community College in Clarksdale.
Oher is one of the best stories in modern day college football. He was the subject in the hit movie The Blind Side in 2009 which depicted his journey from homelessness to one of the most highly-touted college football players in the country.
Oher, originally from Memphis, Tenn., also earned multiple nods as an All-American. He burst on the scene as a freshman becoming a first-team freshman All-American in 2005. After making the switch to left tackle, Oher received second-team All-SEC honors in his sophomore season and first-team honors in his junior year.
After being named an unanimous first-team All-American in 2008 and graduating with a degree in criminal justice, Oher was selected by the Baltimore Ravens with the No. 23 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. Oher spent eight seasons in the NFL starting in 110 games with the Ravens, Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers.
Former Ole Miss head coach Tommy Tuberville will also appear on the ballot. Tuberville spent his first four seasons as a head coach with Ole Miss and compiled a 25-20 record with the Rebels. He went on to coach Auburn, Texas Tech and Cincinnati and finished with a career record of 159-99 in 21 seasons.
Ole Miss currently has 12 members in the College Football Hall of Fame with its most recent addition coming in 2019 with the induction of linebacker Patrick Willis.
