Top Oregon 5-star recruit target trying to bring another elite player with him to possibly join the Ducks

The Oregon Ducks have been hot on the trails for Jackson Cantwell, the No. 1 overall recruit and an elite offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class. Right behind him on the list is Immanuel Iheanacho, currently the No. 2 overall recruit in 2026, who happens to also be an offensive lineman.
Oregon is recruiting both of them, and while Cantwell hasn't trimmed down his list from his six finalists, he took to social media to mention the possibility of forming a lethal tag-team duo at one of a few schools, with Oregon being one of them.
The three tagged schools are Oregon, Georgia, and Miami, which are the three schools that Cantwell and Iheanacho share on their finalist lists. If a school is able to land both of them, they would be securing elite bookends as pillars of their programs.
Oregon has struggled slightly to recruit offensive linemen in recent years, needing to rely on transfer portal additions to build out their line. Josh Conerly Jr was an Oregon recruit that ended up being a three-year starter, and is now one of the top offensive tackles in the 2025 NFL Draft, while Ajani Cornelius, the starting right tackle for the Ducks last season, got his start at Rhode Island.
Entering 2025, Oregon's offensive line will be largely retooled by the transfer portal yet again, with a lack of starting talent already on the roster. Clearly, this is a trend that head coach Dan Lanning wants to break, heavily going after offensive linemen in the upcoming recruiting classes.
As of now, the Ducks' 2026 recruiting class is anchored on an elite offensive lineman, Kodi Greene, out of California high school football powerhouse Mater Dei. Holding on to Green would be a big win. Pairing him with one of Cantwell or Iheanacho would be incredible. Bringing in all three would be an insane embarrassment of riches, and would potentially give Oregon one of the best offensive lines in the country in the coming years.
