The Oregon Ducks were impressive last weekend with a ranked win over the USC Trojans. That was a major test Oregon needed to pass as the College Football Playoff quickly approaches.

Oregon needs some help but it still has hopes of playing in the Big Ten Championship game. The Ducks have to take care of business on their end first and that is going to take a road win over the rival Washington Huskies to get it done. Here’s how the staff at A to Z Sports sees this one going.

Oregon 34, Washington 17

The Ducks need to win on Saturday and they’ll be in the College Football Playoff. Oregon’s victory over USC was big for them in the aspect of having a quality win and now they need to close out the regular season against their rival. The Ducks need to get healthy at wide receiver, but there’s no sense in risking injury against Washington. Oregon can’t let Washington QB Demond Williams hurt him with his legs and they’ll cover easily as long as that doesn’t happen. — Brandon Little, A to Z Sports

Oregon 34, Washington 17

Oregon may not control its own destiny for the Big 10 title game, but it is positioned well to take over a spot if either Ohio State or Indiana loses this week. So they need to treat this week’s game against Washington as a playoff game. A loss would not only knock them out of consideration for the Big 10 title game but also probably the College Football Playoff as well. I think we saw just how motivated the Ducks are in their win over USC. I think they will handle Washington and cement at least a first-round game in Eugene in the playoffs. — Destin Adams, A to Z Sports

Oregon 26, Washington 20

Oregon has spent the last two weeks looking every bit like a playoff lock, destroying Minnesota and slicing up USC to hit 10 wins with momentum to burn. But the Huskies are bowl-eligible, playing their best football of the Jedd Fisch era, and operating with the exact profile that tends to give Oregon real trouble. Dante Moore has been razor-sharp, the run game has found its burst, and the defense is holding opponents to just over 100 rushing yards per game. But Washington isn’t built like USC or Minnesota. Demond Williams gives the Huskies a dual-threat edge, their offense lives on third downs, and when they hit 65 percent through the air, they don’t go away. Oregon should still reach the College Playoff even with a loss, but this has fourth-quarter chaos written all over it. — Nick Wright, A to Z Sports
