All the attention is rightly on the 2025 recruiting class with the early signing period set to start in just a couple days, but that hasn't stopped Oregon from landing an elite piece in their nation-leading 2026 class.

Oregon got a verbal commitment from the nation's No. 1 tight end, and a top-50 basketball recruits, Kendre Harrison. Ducks fans should be absolutely hyped.

Oregon is becoming quite the hotbed for tight end talent and production. The Ducks offense loves to utilize pass-catching tight ends that can make themselves available to their quarterback, and that they can get the ball to in space to utilize their athleticism. Terrance Ferguson and Patrick Herbert will be gone from the program after this year, and Kenyon Sadiq in line to take on an expanded role in 2025.

The Ducks have recruiting targets lined up in the upcoming class, but Harrison gives them an elite target the year after to continue the succession plan at the position.

Harrison has plenty of that. Listed at 6'7" 243 lbs on 247 Sports, Harrison is often described as being a target with a large frame that can adjust to off-target throws and use his frame in the red zone. Because of his size, he also possesses the ability to develop into a strong blocking tight end, and according to his scouting reports, he has room to grow as a route runner.

Still, you can't teach size and athleticism, which Harrison has a lot of. Oregon will hope to hold on to the recruitment, as they have an early leg up with the top recruiting class in the country.
