It seems like the odds are greater than 50% that the Oregon Ducks are firmly in the mix for every top player in the 2026 recruiting class. They currently have the top ranked class in the country, and they're only looking to make it better.
The Ducks are out in front to land the best quarterback in the 2026 class, Jared Curtis. This would be huge.
"I like Oregon a lot," Steve Wiltfong reported that Curtis told him. According to Wiltfong, he believes that Oregon is Curtis' favorite team in the race right now. Wiltfong is making a prediction for Curtis to land in Eugene.
Curtis is a prototypical quarterback with a 6'4" 225 lbs frame. Oregon hasn't had a quarterback with that build since Justin Herbert was in the program, recently getting the most out of transfer portal veterans Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel.
Oregon's 2026 recruiting class is ranked as the best in the country, and they clearly aren't done. They're hot on the trail for the two best offensive linemen in the country, they have a commitment from a unicorn athlete that would be a two-way basketball and football player at tight end in Kendre Harrison, and an elite running back in Tradarian Ball.
Putting the top quarterback in the country on top of list will have Oregon poised for an absolutely elite run on the recruiting trail as they look to take another step forward to establish themselves as a national powerhouse. Dan Lanning is doing an incredible job on the recruiting trail, and we'll see how many of the elite talents that they're after they can get across the finish line.
