Oregon Ducks debut brand new uniforms that blend tradition and flare against Montana State
The Oregon Ducks have unveiled another new uniform combination for their season opener against Montana State.
When the Oregon Ducks take the field for their 2025 season opener against Montana State, they’ll do so in a uniform combination that perfectly blends tradition, innovation, and fashion. Long known as the trailblazers of college football fashion, the Ducks once again delivered a look that commands attention both on the field and in the stands.
The new set features a vibrant green-and-yellow palette that leans heavily into Oregon’s iconic colors. The “Mighty Oregon” yellow helmet is at the center of the design, highlighted by bold green wings on each side. This marks the first time Oregon has featured green wings on a yellow shell, and notably, the design removes the center stripe seen in previous seasons. It’s a small change that gives the helmet a cleaner, sharper finish while still paying homage to the program’s history.
Complementing the helmet is a “Gang Green” jersey with yellow numbering and lettering for maximum visibility. Paired with yellow pants and green cleats, the look is cohesive from head to toe, striking a perfect balance between flash and function. It’s a modern twist that continues Oregon’s tradition of keeping fans guessing with weekly uniform variety while setting a tone of confidence for the start of the season.
But Oregon’s commitment to game-day spectacle doesn’t stop with the players. Saturday’s matchup will also feature a stadium-wide “stripe out” theme, with even-numbered seating sections decked in yellow and odd-numbered sections in green. The result: Autzen Stadium transformed into a living extension of the Ducks’ new uniforms, creating an electric visual backdrop for the opener.
Oregon and Nike did it again, 10 out of 10 – no notes. My only gripe is debuting this combination against an opponent like Montana State and not saving it for one of the more marquee matchups like Indiana or Wisconsin at home.
As head coach Dan Lanning’s squad takes the field, one thing is clear: the uniforms don’t just represent a team, but a statement. In college football fashion, Oregon still leads the way—and against Montana State, they’ll do it in unmistakable style.
