By now, you know that the Oregon Ducks beat Ohio State 32-31. Everybody knows. It was a massive win on as big a stage that exists during the regular season, and the Ducks catapulted themselves into the national championship conversation.

Rising to the occasion was Evan Stewart, a transfer portal addition that that entered the season with massive expectations. I was vocal about trusting that he would take over as the team's top receiving option with his speed, ball-tracking ability, and body control.

After a slow start to the season, Stewart erupted against the best defense in the country.

Stewart finished with seven receptions for 149 yards and a touchdown. He's the only wide receiver that has gone over 100 receiving yards against Ohio State this season.

"I'm proud of him, man, and I'm maybe more proud that, up until this moment, there's been moments where Evan's been able to break out, and there's been moments where maybe the ball didn't get to him or it didn't fall his way, and you never once hear Evan say anything about that," head coach Dan Lanning said after the game. "He knew when his opportunity came, he'd get an opportunity to take advantage of it, and he took advantage of his opportunities tonight. He was a weapon out there for us, and I'm really proud of that performance."

It was Stewart that lead the charge in the passing attack, proving to be a big game receiver capable of winning down the field and in the end zone. Stewart was targeted six times 10+ yards down the field, catching five of them for 137 of his 149 receiving yards, including a long of 69.

Oregon being able to rely on multiple big time receivers to go along with their ground game centered on Jordan James has this offense primed for success as their first season in the Big Ten Conference presses on. What a showing for the receiver.
