When talking about Oregon draft prospects on the defensive side of the ball, edge rusher Jordan Burch and defensive tackle Derrick Harmon have been getting all the buzz. Flying under the radar has been nose tackle Jamaree Caldwell.

With his performances this week in Senior Bowl practices, Caldwell is flying under the radar no longer.

Caldwell checked in at 6'2" 342 lbs at the Senior Bowl, but he has flashed incredible agility and first step quickness for a nose tackle.

Watching Oregon all year, I've seen plenty of Caldwell. He's a massive nose tackle that is strong against both the pass and the run. This last season operating as the space clogger up front, Caldwell generated 20 pressures and a sack, while also showing the ability to eat up space. He's also incredibly aware — Caldwell registered four passes batted down.

Caldwell is among several Ducks players that are standing out down in Mobile. Tight end Terrance Ferguson has made some great catches while showing off his athleticism, wide receiver Tez Johnson has been essentially unguardable, and quarterback Dillon Gabriel continues to make big time throws.

It's completely warranted for Harmon to be getting tons of draft buzz, and at this point, it seems likely that he'll go in the first round. But Caldwell has done an incredible job of helping his own draft stock this week, and he's drawing plenty of attention as an intriguing nose tackle. It will be fascinating to see how high he goes in the 2025 NFL Draft.
