One of the biggest reasons that the Oregon Ducks had as successful a season as they did was the play of the offensive line evolving from early-season struggles to being one of the best units in the country. That group was anchored by left tackle Josh Conerly Jr., who was a steadying and stable presence on the left side of the line.

Heading into next season, Oregon is going to be looking at a new-look offensive line, especially at the ever-important left tackle position. Conerly has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, and his draft stock is absolutely soaring.

As someone that watches the Ducks on a weekly basis, I've been well-acquainted with the talent that Conerly has. He was rock solid, even against top competition.

In the Big Ten Championship game, Conerly lined up across from Penn State's Abdul Carter, who's in the conversation of being a top 5-10 draft pick next April and the first edge rusher off the board. Conerly looked stable and comfortable. Against Penn State, Conerly posted a clean sheet — no pressures, hurries, hits, or sacks allowed.

On the season, Conerly was credited with allowing only one sack, and it was Week 2 when the Oregon offensive line was incredibly disjointed. Some big time draft analysts are starting to give Conerly his flowers heading into the pre-draft process.

Conerly has plenty of ability and athleticism, both in pass blocking and against the run. Starting to get attention from NFL Draft analysts as a potential first-round pick, it's likely that Conerly will hear his name get called early on draft night.
