Former Ducks standout and college football great Haloti Ngata is already an Oregon legend, but his resume is about to get even stronger. Ngata is being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in the 2025 class, an honor that's more than deserved.

“Haloti Ngata’s selection to the College Football Hall of Fame is a well-deserved recognition of his tremendous impact on college football and the University of Oregon football program,” Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens said. “During his time here, Haloti was a dominant force on the field, a leader in the locker room, and a role model for all."

"An outstanding human being who has always represented Oregon in a first-class manner, he truly defines what it means to be an all-American, and as a five-time Pro Bowler, he is also one of the most accomplished NFL players in Oregon history. Haloti is a true Duck legend, and we are proud to celebrate him, his incredible legacy, and this honor.”

Ngata was a force at his time at Oregon from 2002-2005. In 35 career games, Ngata compiled 151 career total tackles, 24.5 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, and three forced fumbles. Probably most notably, he managed to block an absurd seven kicks.

Ngata is one of the best defensive tackles in college football history. He was such a game-wrecker that, apparently, Oregon had to limit his practice reps in order to let the offense get some good plays in.

He went on to have a long NFL career, playing for 13 seasons. Ngata started his career with the Baltimore Ravens after they selected him 12th overall in the 2006 NFL Draft, and won Super Bowl XLVII with them against the San Francsico 49ers. He was enshrined in the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor in 2011.

Ngata is one of the greatest Oregon Ducks of all time, if not the. Seeing him get this honor to solidify his spot amongst college football immortality is well-deserved.
