Oregon Ducks quarterback ranked in the top 10 fastest quarterbacks in the country by EASports.
Oregon has had its fair share of fast quarterbacks over the years. Quarterbacks like Marcus Mariota, Dennis Dixon, and even Bo Nix, to an extent, were known for their ability to use their legs to pick up significant gains on the ground. The trend continues in 2025 as Redshirt Freshman quarterback Luke Moga might be the fastest.
EASports released their player ratings for the College Football 26 video game, and they included Moga among their top 10 fastest quarterbacks and gave him a 90 speed rating.
The ranking should come as no surprise to those who evaluated Moga as a high school prospect, as he was also a standout track and field athlete. As a sprinter, Moga posted a 10.5 100-meter dash time, which earned him second in Arizona’s state championship. That type of speed is rare for a quarterback, and it should only be a weapon for Moga to utilize throughout his career with the Ducks.
Moga, a four-star recruit from Phoenix, Arizona, joined the Ducks in their 2024 recruiting class and redshirted last season. He is currently in a quarterback competition with Dante Moore and Austin Novosad to be the starting quarterback for the Ducks this fall.
While not expected to win the starting quarterback role with the Ducks this season, expect the Ducks to find a way to utilize Moga’s speed this year by using him in special packages and giving him opportunities to run the football or handle some trick plays.
