Texas A&M Aggies making huge leaps up NFL Draft boards following impressive Senior Bowl showings
Dametrious Crownover, Scooby Williams, Trey Zuhn, and Nate Boerkircher surprised NFL scouts all week long
This year’s class of Texas A&M Aggies NFL Draft prospects is ridiculously deep. Everyone knows stars like edge rusher Cashius Howell, wide receiver KC Concepcion, and corner back Will Lee will be coming off the board early. However, it’s the next tier of talents coming out of Texas A&M that has collectively leaped up NFL Draft boards this week following wildly impressive Senior Bowl performances.
Dametrious Crownover used all of his massive frame to win at the Senior Bowl
The number one winner of the Senior Bowl — among those Aggies who actually participated — was offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover. The week began with a win for him simply by weighing in. Players often round up on their measurements for the roster sheet, but Crownover confirmed that he is a verified 6-7, 330+ pound mountain of a man before the practices began at weigh-in.
Then it when it came time to prove he was more than just a mountain, Crownover showed much improved hand usage and footwork. He was able to stand up even the most powerful edge rushers at the Senior Bowl consistently in one-on-ones (as you can see in the post below).
Crownover was just too much to move for the bull-rushers, and he was too quick and long for the bendy-type edge rushers to beat him with any amount of consistency. Crownover wasn’t always the most consistent this past season in pass protection when he would miss the initial point of attack, but it seems he’s been working on cleaning that up. Some NFL teams are definitely going to be taking a closer look at him now as someone who has the traits to build upon for a bright future in the NFL.
All the Senior Bowl Texas A&M Aggies shined in critical moments
Crownover wasn’t the only Aggies star who had a good week at the Senior Bowl. Scooby Williams jumped out right away to some of the scouts and media members I talked to from day one. Williams defended a pass early in the first practice, and helped stuff several running plays. He was rather quiet after that, not doing anything flashy, but Williams was assignment-sound and played exactly how A&M fans have grown to expect against the run.
The most surprising standout Aggies player was likely tight end Nate Boerkircher. Prior to the 2025 season, Boerkircher had only caught 19 passes in the previous four seasons combined. He did grab 19 more passes and three touchdowns for the Aggies last fall, but still, Boerkircher wasn’t exactly a dominant receiving threat throughout college.
No one would have been able to guess that by watching how he showed out at Senior Bowl practices.
Boerkircher consistently forced his way open, and even when he didn’t, he still found a way to haul in passes against some of the best defenders at the event (as you can see against Kyle Louis in the post below).
Lastly, Trey Zuhn, the other Texas A&M offensive lineman at the Senior Bowl, also impressed. He didn’t make many truly highlight blocks, but he showcased more strength and pass blocking chops than expected.
Every single Aggies player that was in Mobile helped their NFL Draft stock. The same can’t be said for most any other school — especially among those who had at least four players participating.
If this crop all continues to rise in the coming weeks, Aggies fans could seriously see up to ten or more of their former players drafted in the 2026 NFL Draft here soon.
