It's official! The EA Sports College Football 25 video game is almost here and Arch Manning is going to be a part of it! Manning had decided earlier this year that he was going to sit out and not be in the college football video game. However, as of today, Manning announced via his Instagram that he will indeed be a part of the game.
He did so by posting a creative, fun video with "uncle E" Eli Manning, concluding with, "EA Sports, I'm in the game," as you can see in the post from On3 Sports below.
So, why the change of heart all of a sudden from Arch Manning? Many college football fans were left wondering what led to the change in decision, but they didn't have to wonder for long. Pete Nakos of On3 Sports reported that the Texas Longhorns (backup) quarterback Arch Manning had received somewhere between $50,000 and $60,000 to promote College Football 25 on top of receiving $600 and a copy of the game for opting in to be a part of the game's epic return.
It seems that Arch Manning understood he had much more to gain in opting in than just $600 and a copy of the game like every other player if he just held out for a better deal from EA Sports. We'll likely learn more in the coming weeks as we could perhaps see additional content from Arch Manning promoting the return of the College Football video game.
In the era of NIL, deals like this should become commonplace as each new version of EA Sports College Football is released. Who else would you like to see promote the most highly anticipated sports video game release ever?
