It would seem the theme through two days of fall camp at Texas is players coming off major injuries are back with a vengeance. First it was CJ Baxter, then it was Christian Clark, and now it’s Parker Livingstone.

The Lovejoy (Tex.) native suffered a foot injury as a senior in high school so he only played in four games as a true freshman. And he didn’t record any statistics. Now, though, Livingstone seems like he is ready to make a splash in 2025. Orangebloods Jason Suchomel was out at practice Thursday and noticed head coach Steve Sarkisian praising the redshirt freshman wideout.

“In the window we saw, Parker Livingstone was fantastic. I’ve been hearing positive reports on him going back to the spring, but I’m officially buying stock,” Suchomel said. “He ran smooth routes and he caught everything cleanly, including a tough over-the-shoulder grab and a beautiful toe-tapping catch on the sidelines.

“He drew praise from the coaches several times and after the route/catch on the sideline, Sark was hollering at him that that was an NFL play.”

Rivals’ Eric Nahlin was also in attendance and he, too, was impressed with Parker Livingstone.

“I didn’t see him going against cornerbacks, but for the second day in a row, Parker Livingstone looked like one of the more talented guys in the program. He uses all of his considerable catch radius and makes the QB right,” Nahlin said. “Good route runner, great speed, but also plays under control. Really coordinated player. I think he’s going to be very productive before it’s all said and done. With no (Ryan) Wingo, he looked like the best wide receiver on the team.

“Parker Livingstone is one of the more talented guys on the team. Huge catch radius helps him play big but he moves like a smaller guy.”

One of the biggest stories from Thursday’s practice was Ryan Wingo and DJ Campbell were absent. But, sources confirmed shortly after practice both were not there due to personal reasons. No injury scares, no worries.
