Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian addressed the media Monday after another fall camp practice. The opening statement was pretty strong, too.
“Our guys just practiced their asses off. It was awesome.”
Sarkisian fielded questions from the media as Texas continues to work towards August 30 and its 2025 season opener against Ohio State. Here are some of the highlights:

On the battle at the STAR position:
“I don’t look for what year you are. Michael Taaffe is a fifth year senior, Graceson Littleton is a true freshman. Can I trust you?”
On the mentality inside the building:
“I think what they know is competition. They appreciate the process maybe more so than the results and that’s something I appreciate about our team right now.”
On zero concerns from outside distractions:
“That told me right there they weren’t really concerned about what hit their Twitter feed at 11:30 today.”
On last weekend’s scrimmage:
“I like the balance. I like the competitiveness of the scrimmage. I like the physicality of the scrimmage. We’re playing really physical football on both sides of the ball.”
On Arch Manning’s performance in Saturday’s scrimmage:
“When we visited with Arch coming out of Saturday, there was probably five or six plays that I’m very confident he’s going to make as we move forward.”
On CJ Baxter and Derek Williams stepping up their game:
“Those were probably the two biggest guys that excited me the most.”
On the offense shaking things up personnel-wise:
“I think we’re going to have multiple personnel groupings for 12…may have 2-3 different 12 personnel groupings that we use.”
