Approaching Valentine’s Day, there’s a slew of Longhorns looking to fall in love with various NFL teams. Is the feeling mutual?

A to Z Sports continues to pour through tons of mock draft data and various scouting reports to determine how it’s all going to shake out this April.

Some Texas players are holding their own as the weeks progress, like left tackle Kelvin Banks and cornerback Jahdae Barron. Both are still projected to be first-round picks.

But receiver Isaiah Bond is slipping despite his elite speed, according to draft consensus. More scouts are starting to realize that it was Matthew Golden making all the big catches last season for the Horns.

A to Z Sports draft expert Travis May broke down the top 50 draft candidates in his latest mock draft. Here’s where each Longhorns players stood.

First round

No. 11, OT Kelvin Banks, San Francisco

Kelvin Banks Jr. has been perceived as a future first round lock since he was in high school and after an incredible final season as a pass blocker he's ready for top notch 2025 NFL Draft capital. The only sack he allowed all year wasn't even his fault as Quinn Ewers tripped stepping up into the pocket. The 49ers will need their replacement for Trent Williams at left tackle very soon, but Banks could also start at guard immediately.”

No. 24. CB Jahdae Barron, Minnesota

“Jahdae Barron was the best cornerback in the country last fall based on the meaningful metrics. Nine passes defended on top of his five interceptions. A passer rating when targeted that was so low opposing quarterbacks would quite literally be better off chucking the ball into the dirt instead. The Vikings only have one pick in the first three rounds as of this writing with a huge need at cornerback. That makes this an easy selection.”

Second round

No. 37 WR Matthew Golden, Las Vegas

“Matthew Golden wasn't the Texas wide receiver most people thought they would be getting excited about this time last year, but he broke out in a huge way down the stretch during the Longhorns College Football Playoff run. The Raiders absolutely must get better at wide receiver, so they draft the top talent in the ‘best of the rest’ tier for the position. Their fresh franchise QB Shedeur Sanders gets a new talented target.”

No. 38, RT Cameron Williams, New England

“The Patriots might as well just start over with their offensive line, adding multiple players there in the the the 2025 NFL Draft. And if they're going to add some offensive linemen, they might as well get the freakiest athletes with the most physical upside. That's exactly what Cameron Williams is out of Texas. This should help protect Drake Maye right away.”

No. 58, DT Alfred Collins, Houston

Third round

No. 76, WR Isaiah Bond, Dallas

No. 80, S Andrew Mukuba, Indianapolis

No. 92, QB Quinn Ewers, New York Jets via Detroit
