Watch Texas A&M students storm the campus grounds overnight to line up for Texas football tickets
A&M students couldn’t wait for Monday, so they started lining up outside Kyle Field late Saturday
The instant Saturday night’s game against New Mexico State was over, Texas A&M students started thinking about Texas.
Never mind that A&M still has to play Auburn next Saturday. The Aggies started lining up overnight for the Monday morning student ticket distribution for the Longhorns.
Monday is a rather symbolic day for A&M fans everywhere, too. It marks the 25th anniversary of the Bonfire collapse in the early morning of 1999 that killed 12 and injured 27. Bonfire was built annually prior to the annual Texas-Texas A&M game.
Social media videos started trickling into KBTX-TV just after midnight and the crowd only grew. Students have extra financial incentive to get their tickets. If you want to buy them off Stubhub, prices range from $666 to $3,500.

According to Texas A&M’s website, students were offered an all-sports pass for $400 that covered all home football games and other A&M sports “in both the fall and spring semesters on a first-come, first-served basis.” NCAA postseason events were not included.
The ticket “pull,” as it’s known, takes place at the box office on the north side of Kyle Field.
Students can “pull” tickets with a valid all-sports pass based on their classification in school — senior, junior, sophomore, freshman. The ticket pull normally takes place between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day during the week of all home games.
The Texas game, however, isn’t something where you can just roll up to Kyle Field on Wednesday and Thursday and get good seats.
The Nov. 30 meeting between the century-old rivals will restart an intrastate rivalry that dates back to 1894. The two teams have not played since 2011 when A&M left the Big 12 for the SEC. The Longhorns joined the SEC this season and want to play the Aggies on an annual basis going forward.
No. 3 Texas (9-1, 5-1 SEC) still must get past Kentucky this week to remain in first place in the SEC standings. A&M (8-2, 5-1) should have no problem knocking off Auburn this week. Both the Horns and Aggies will be favored in their respective matchups.
Assuming UT and A&M both take care of business, that sets up a mega-matchup on Nov. 30 with the winner advancing to the SEC championship game.
So yes, A&M students are eager to get their tickets.
