The Buffalo Bills enjoyed another smackdown of the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football. Buffalo won 31-10 in Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season. At the heart of that was the two interceptions from undrafted cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram.

Ingram, who was signed in 2022 and spent two seasons on practice squad, became the first former Buffalo Bull to notch two interceptions in a single game in the NFL.

In his initial two seasons, Ingram spent most of his time on the practice squad, getting called up to the main roster on five occasions. In two appearances in 2022, Ingram made three tackles but didn't accumulate any statistics in 2023, primarily serving in special teams roles.

Following an impressive preseason performance in 2024, Ingram secured a spot on the Bills' 53-man roster at the start of the season, joining fellow UB alumnus and undrafted rookie linebacker Joe Andreessen.

He played a pivotal role in the season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, thwarting a last-minute Hail Mary attempt by Kyler Murray. This key defensive act ensured the Bills secured a 34-28 victory, averting a rerun of the infamous Hail Murray incident that occurred four years prior between these two teams.

Ingram didn't receive any scholarship opportunities after finishing high school in Dallas. He joined Utah State as a walk-on, covering his own tuition fees in his freshman year.

Following his time as a starting player for two years at Utah State and serving as a backup for another two years at Texas Tech, he completed his collegiate journey as the main starting cornerback in his final season with the University at Buffalo.
