The Vanderbilt Commodores (9-15, 0-11) were defeated by the Florida Gators (13-11, 5-6) February 13th on the road, 66-57.
Both teams started hot offensively, leading to fast paced opening of the game.
After taking turns going on runs, the Commodores went into halftime leading 33-31.
Florida came out swinging in the second half and scored the first eight points of the half. However, Vandy refused to be put away and continued to claw their way back into the game.
Despite Aaron Nesmith's career game, the Gators were able to squeeze out a victory at home against the struggling Commodores.
Vandy was led by Nesmith in points (26) and rebounds (9). Saben Lee led the team in assists with three.
