Just as how the 2023 season quickly deteriorated for the Colorado Buffaloes, the same thing seems to be in the cards in the 2024 season already. Despite boasting two players who could be taken in the top five of the 2025 NFL Draft, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders has simply not done a good job of building a quality football team around them.

This week, star cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter allowed the frustration to boil over. Coming off the field before halftime, Hunter was seen ripping off his helmet and yelling as he passed Sanders on his way to the sideline.

The same pain points exist almost every week, and the Buffaloes trailed the Nebraska Cornhuskers by 21 at halftime in Week 2. Once again, the offense was lifeless despite having a new offensive coordinator in Pat Shurmur and a host of transfer talent. Shedeur Sanders continues to take huge hits, and the toll on Hunter and Sanders is massive.

The team's lack of discipline is only usurped by their lack of talent. Guys like Shilo Sanders have no business playing in a Power 5 conference, but Deion Sanders has built an environment that is far too flimsy to succeed. Major changes are needed for his approach to work at a high level.

The Cornhuskers outgained the Buffaloes 213 yards to 112. The Buffaloes racked up 80 penalty yards on seven infractions. Somehow, they had negative 17 rushing yards.

Talk about embarrassing and unacceptable. Things need to change quickly in Boulder, or else it'll continue to get worse against better competition.
