The Dallas Cowboys are expected to have one of the most explosive and high-powered offenses in the entire NFL next season. Getting Dak Prescott back onto the field is a huge reason for that.
Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb are three more reasons why there are very high expectations surrounding the Cowboys offense. Those three are arguably the best wide receiver trio in football. With Dak Prescott throwing them the football, it makes up one of the best passing offenses in the league.
CeeDee Lamb, in particular, has an opportunity to help take this Cowboys offense to another level. The 2020 first-round pick flashed as a rookie, nearly reaching 1,000 receiving yards during his first NFL season while catching passes from four different quarterbacks.
LAMB ONE OF NFL'S BEST YOUNG STARS
Therefore, it no surprise that many are high on the former Oklahoma superstar. In fact, there are several that believe that CeeDee Lamb could push Amari Cooper as the WR1 in Dallas as soon as this upcoming season. And we all know how good and valuable Cooper is.
Pro Football Focus recently ranked the top-25 players in the NFL that are25 years old or younger. Players such as Kyler Murray, Fred Warner, and Lamar Jackson landed on the list. CeeDee Lamb also found himself in the rankings after just one season.
13. WR CEEDEE LAMB, DALLAS COWBOYS
The Dallas offense is so stacked that Lamb spent most of his rookie year (93.2%) in the slot while Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup manned the outside spots. Despite that and a passing game that fell away after Dak Prescott went down injured, Lamb still generated a passer rating of 102.0 when targeted, making several spectacular plays in the process
Lamb is one of five wideouts to be ranked by PFF in these rankings. The other four include AJ Brown, Justin Jefferson, DK Metcalf, and DJ Moore. Lamb ranks ahead of Moore and just behind Metcalf.
It is obvious that the sky is the limit for CeeDee Lamb. The return of Dak Prescott should only help Lamb's development in his second season. Be prepared for a monster of a breakout season in 2021.
