The Dallas Cowboys' OTAs have come to a halt and up next is mandatory minicamp, which runs June 4th through June 6th.

It's an important phase of the offseason and even though it's not anything like training camp, there are lessons to be learned and takeaways to be had. That's why we're looking at three offensive players to monitor during the week.

Keep in mind, just like in OTAs, no live contact is permitted in mandatory minicamp. Even still, this phase of the offseason gives us things to talk about as we learn from rotations the team is running as well as hearing from coaches and players.

1. QB Trey Lance

This is the obvious elephant in the room. The Cowboys are hoping to get as many looks as possible on the quarterback they gave up a fourth-round draft pick for and minicamp will give them yet another chance to do so.

Mike McCarthy has claimed that Lance has improved, even saying that "he’s close to being a master of the system" and that he "has a really high understanding" of the offense.

However, Lance needs the reps. All of them matter, including these ones in June.

2. C Cooper Beebe

Although the third-round rookie won't win the starting role when the pads have yet to come on, it'll be important to monitor how many first-team reps he's getting and most importantly, who's giving him a run for his money.

Brock Hoffman, T.J. Bass, and even Dakoda Shepley have seen reps at center and the Cowboys coaching staff seems to be treating it like a wide-open competition. Does Beebe begin to separate himself?

3. WR Jalen Tolbert

Same as last year, the Cowboys are betting big on Tolbert. The difference is this time there's not an insurance policy called Michael Gallup. Instead, it's pretty much Tolbert or a young, even more inexperienced receiver like Jalen Brooks (who is also a player to watch this minicamp as he continues to separate himself from the pack).

Tolbert's success as WR3 will be crucial in determining how the season will go for the Cowboys in 2024. Will he dominate this June?
