Cowboys might have to go to war with Aaron Rodgers for Odell Beckham Jr.

If the Dallas Cowboys’ wish is to come true, they’re in for a fight this free agency period.

Hey, let's admit it. Aaron Rodgers has – for the most part – dominated the Dallas Cowboys throughout his career. I don't even have to mention the examples because if you're a Cowboys fan, you probably know them by heart.

Some of them are as recent as last year's 14-point comeback from the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau. Some of them are even more painful. But this time, the veteran quarterback could beat the Cowboys without a miraculous throw to Jared Cook or an overturned catch.

This time, the Cowboys might be in a fight with him for a wide receiver. The same one with whom the team heavily and loudly flirted with last year during the season.

According to ESPN's reporter Dianna Russini, the quarterback "provided the New York Jets with a wish list of free agents he would like them to target and acquire." The list includes Beckham Jr. among other wide receivers.

Rodgers is expected by many to be traded by the Jets, a sentiment that's only grown since the Packers signed Allen Lazard to a $44 million deal. At the time of this writing, Rodgers remains a member of the Packers but things could change quickly as Wednesday's New League Year deadline quickly approaches.

To be more specific, Rodgers could represent a battle against Jerry Jones' wishes. According to Cowboys insider Jane Slater, it's the owner of the team who is "driving the bus" on the OBJ front.

But I'm warning you if Rodgers and the Jets end up together and are joined by the free-agent wide receiver, there will be memes. It'll be yet another W for the quarterback against the Cowboys. Some things just don't change.

As of now, the two storylines that have lasted over a year keep on keepin' on. Will Rodgers get out of Green Bay? Will OBJ be a Cowboy?

Make your own bets. Perhaps this week we finally get an answer for each question. We might be hours away from them.
