CeeDee Lamb sparked the Dallas Cowboys' 38-3 win on Sunday as the offense immediately capitalized on an unfortunate opportunity following a shoulder injury to New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

One play after Gonzalez left the field, leaving the Patriots without their Top 3 cornerbacks, Lamb lined up on the outside and ran a fade route that left him open for Dak Prescott to find him in stride for the first touchdown of the day to go up 10-3 with the extra point.

While it won't go down as a red zone touchdown in the NFL books, the Cowboys were lined up exactly at the 20-yard line.

DaRon Bland answers the call!

DaRon Bland, take a bow! After serious questions being raised about the Cowboys' defense following Trevon Diggs' season-ending injury, Bland answered the call with two interceptions, including a pick-six.

Both picks came near the sideline. Beyond those two plays, Bland played great coverage throughout the game and is definitely one of the biggest winners of the day.

Diggs' absence is certainly one of the biggest questions surrounding the Cowboys' Super Bowl aspirations. Bland just gave fans a reason to ease their minds around it.

Other notes from the Cowboys' Week 4 win

  • Donovan Wilson missed a tackle on a Patriots' big gain during their first opening drive. Coming off of a poor performance versus the Cardinals, Wilson urgently needs to pick it up.
  • The Cowboys out-schemed Bill Belichick on special teams, running an electric two-point conversion with Bryan Anger tossing a pass to Chauncey Golston on the fake field goal.
  • Jake Ferguson showed off with a strong day that included a big catch over the seam with him holding on to the football despite a big-time hit from a crashing safety. He caught seven passes for 77 yards, most on the team.
  • Dak Prescott had a very efficient day, completing 83% of his passes on his way to a 261-yard performance.
