The Dallas Cowboys are in the process of building their board and developing a strategy with the 2023 NFL Draft just weeks away. Fortunately, the Cowboys have some flexibility thanks to other moves this offseason.

No longer is Dallas in desperate need of another receiver or defensive back. Obviously, the Cowboys could grab a player at one of those positions early. But, it's not as big of a need as it was prior to the trades for Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore.

Therefore, Dallas has options. And there's the chance the Cowboys take the best player available at No. 26 overall. Which could possibly be Texas running back Bijan Robinson.

Robinson has become a polarizing player within the Cowboys' fan base. Primarily due to the position that he plays. It's becoming evident that drafting a running back in the first-round is not the best team-building strategy.

However, Robinson is such a special talent with his ability to impact the game as a rusher, receiver, and even pass protector. Given that the Cowboys are only guaranteed to have Tony Pollard for one more season, Robinson is certainly a possibility for Dallas.

In fact, the Cowboys are considered to be the betting favorite to draft Bijan Robinson, per Bet Online. Dallas is just ahead of the Washington Commanders in the odds.

On one hand, Robinson would provide an immediate boost to the Cowboys' offense. His impact would be felt in a big way next to Dak Prescott and Tony Pollard in the backfield.

But on the other hand, Dallas may be more wise to use their premium draft capital elsewhere. Such as offensive line, where Steve Avila out of TCU would make a lot of sense. Or even tight end, if the team is not confident in Jake Ferguson.

The Dallas Cowboys are currently the betting favorite to take Bijan Robinson in the 2023 NFL Draft. Robinson is an elite player, but he is also a very polarizing prospect. It might be tempting for Dallas to make a splash.
