After breaking the NFL record for most pick-sixes in a single season, Dallas Cowboys cornerback DaRon Bland is the talk of the moment in the league.

Whether it's Bland himself, the coaching staff, defensive teammates, or players from the other side of the ball, everyone is getting asked about the cornerback's historic run.

That includes star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who knows a thing or two about catching the football himself. Following the Cowboys' Week 12 win against the Washington Commanders, Lamb detailed what's enabled Bland to make history.

"He's very instinctive," Lamb told reporters postgame. "Obviously, at that position, you've got to be very reactive, and he's trusting his process and what (DB coach Al Harris) is teaching him. He's getting the right pointers; he's delivering."

Coach Harris has consistently received praise from players and he's one of the biggest reasons behind Bland's recent rise. Some even think Harris could be getting significant hype for a defensive coordinator job in the near future.

But Bland's development is also a result of the players that surround him. No one deserves more credit than himself for the quick development as a former fifth-round draft pick but it's clear his environment has certainly helped fast-track it.

"You add Trevon (Diggs') skillset with (Stephon Gilmore's) smarts, you're bound for greatness," stated Lamb. "Shoutout DB for making history."

So far, "greatness" is a good way to describe Bland's play. Not only does he have the historic scores but has consistently ranked as one of the best corners in coverage this season.

When Bland himself was asked about his environment, he echoed Lamb's sentiment.

"It's everything, it's a lot to learn from," Bland told reporters with a wide smile. "You've got Al, who's been a 13-year vet, and then you've got Gilly, another 10-year vet and then you've got Tre, interception guy."
