Cowboys: CeeDee Lamb is unbothered about contract extension

As the Dallas Cowboys prepare for the 2023 season, one topic that won't go away, at least until it gets done, is the contract situation involving wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
The Cowboys picked up Lamb's fifth-year option back in April. So, they have him under contract for at least the next two seasons if it takes a while for both sides to meet on an agreement.
When comes to the NFL, the business side of it can be nauseating. However, Lamb has a single-minded focus.
"Quite honestly, I'm going to be 100 percent honest, I'm not even distracted," Lamb said. "The money, definitely worried about it, but it's not nothing that's really on my mind every day that I wake up or when I come to the building. I don't really think about how much money am I gonna make if I do this. It's really all about coming in, showing my worth, and letting everything else handle itself."
Lamb has been a baller since he first stepped foot on an NFL field.
As a rookie, playing 11 games without quarterback Dak Prescott, Lamb racked up 935 yards and five touchdowns. With Prescott back in the mix in 2021, Lamb made his first Pro Bowl with 1,102 yards and six scores.
The Cowboys parted ways with Amari Cooper before the 2022 season, putting Lamb firmly in the WR1 shoes. Well, they fit like a glove as Lamb was named a second-team All-Pro due to his 107 for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns.
So, the 2023 campaign is huge for Lamb when it comes to being consistent and continuing to prove that he's one of the league's top receivers. He's set to make a ton of money, but Lamb will let others work out the details.
"That's for my agent," said Lamb. "I'm trying to play. That's what I'm here to do and that's what I love to do."
Lamb has been a better performer in each season which is exactly what the Cowboys need, especially since he was a first-round pick, and Dallas does most of their offseason damage in the draft.
However, Lamb, like any player, can make improvements.
"Being a better leader, whether that's for my position group or for my team. Obviously, being able to be the one that's counted on when the game is on the line. You can always come to me," Lamb said. "I have help now, I mean I've always had help, but it's instilled now. It's a point of attack, we're going to be aggressive and we're gonna come at you. So, regardless if you like it or not, we're going to do best versus best and we're going to see the best man win."
It will be a different offense for the Cowboys this season in some ways with Kellen Moore being a thing of the past. However, one constant will be Lamb putting up big numbers.
