CeeDee Lamb has been front and center of any and all Dallas Cowboys' coverage since Sunday night when he claimed he didn't know what the offensive identity of the team was.

On Wednesday, he sent a cryptic tweet – or X post I guess – into the world that quickly went viral with over 100,000 views in less than half an hour.

A simple "lol" sent Cowboys Nation into a frenzy of speculation. Many wondered if it had anything to do with the recent controversy of his visible discontent versus the San Francisco 49ers or even comments made by Jerry Jones about not necessarily wanting the wide receiver to be force-fed. In reality, it probably has nothing to do with any of that.

Although we can't know for sure, the safest bet is 100% that CeeDee is clapping back at Richard Sherman's comments about him on TV. The former three-time First-Team All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman claimed Lamb is overrated as a WR1.

"The conversation he's in is with guys like Jaylen Waddle, Garrett Wilson Jr., Tyler Lockett, Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk, Chris Godwin," Sherman said after ruling Lamb out of the tier that included Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, and others.

After listing him with a bunch of lower-tier WR1s and some WR2s, you can understand where Lamb's "lol" could be coming from. While it's true he hasn't cracked the conversation of being a Top 3 or even Top 5 WR, it's clear that Lamb belongs in the conversation thanks to his talent.

Where Sherman is right, is in his assessment of what remains one of the worst decisions the Cowboys have made in the last few years: Letting Amari Cooper go.

"If you never would've gotten rid of your boy Amari Cooper, what would this team look like?" he asked. "They would look really good. (CeeDee) would probably have 1,500 yards a season and Amari would have 1,500 yards a season."

For now, the Cowboys do need to figure out a way to feed Lamb, especially when their offense isn't going like it happened in San Francisco. Hopefully, Lamb's postgame message helps that be the case moving forward.
