Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is on a roll. Since Week 6, he has led the NFL in efficiency (per EPA/play) as his chemistry with CeeDee Lamb keeps building up as one of the very best in the NFL.

We've seen him have a growing connection with TE Jake Ferguson and even WR Brandin Cooks, who finally had his breakout game last Sunday against the New York Giants.

Prescott's recent play has put him in the MVP conversation (albeit not as a favorite, to be fair) and he has become the main event of the Cowboys' offense as head coach and play caller Mike McCarthy has shifted the team's mindset toward a much more aggressive one.

Prescott had a strong choice of words regarding McCarthy's play-calling and his comment shouldn't go unnoticed.

"I've never been as confident, as free, as connected with other guys in the offense, (with) play calling and this whole system and what we're trying to get after as I am now," Dak told reporters following a five-touchdown performance.

The Cowboys quarterback isn't the first to praise his coaches similarly. But because the team made a controversial move by letting Kellen Moore go in the offseason and the fact that Dak himself showed a glimpse of discontent about losing his coach and friend, his words carry significant weight.

"That's credit to those guys, credit to coach McCarthy, (offensive coordinator Brian) Schottenheimer, (quarterbacks coach Scott) Tolzien, and the rest of the offensive staff," Prescott added.

Through ten weeks of the 2023 NFL season, no quarterback has a higher big-time throw percentage than Prescott (min. 280 dropbacks).

He also boasts the third-lowest turnover-worthy play rate in the league. That's with him being eighth in the league in average depth of target, which means he's not taking care of the football for a lack of downfield throwing.
