Dan Quinn has a passion for building great defenses, and the Dallas Cowboys have benefited from that over the last two seasons. However, Quinn is passionate about something else that has nothing to do with football, the military.

During his coaching career, Quinn has been adamant about his support of those who have served, although he never did. For that, the mastermind of the Cowboys' defense has been nominated for the 2022 Salute Service Award.

Quinn has been linked to this award long before he came to the Cowboys. Back in 2016, as head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Quinn was the recipient of this honor.

Going back to his days with the Seattle Seahawks, Quinn founded "Quinn's Corps", a program that honors those who have served in the military. Quinn took the program to another level while with the Falcons to also have United Service Organizations (USO) tours as well as game visits for Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).

Since joining the Cowboys, Quinn has continued his unwavering support of service members. Quinn spends a lot of time with Merging Vets and Players (MVP), hosting workouts and mental health discussions with local veterans. Also, Quinn linked with the Commanding General of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command for a webinar back in May of this year.

This is quite the tip of the hat to the Cowboys' defensive coordinator for his love for the military, and fan voting can be done here for all nominees of every NFL team.
