One of the hottest topics surrounding the Dallas Cowboys is whether or not they will make a trade for All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

According to NFL Network's Jane Slater, Hopkins wouldn't mind putting a star on his helmet.

"As for DeAndre Hopkins, those rumors have been incredibly persistent. Here's what I can tell you about that after talking to someone close to him. D-Hop absolutely wants to come to Dallas. He wants to be a Dallas Cowboy" said Slater on Thursday.

"But, I can tell you right now, I have repeatedly reached out to all my sources within the Cowboys organization, and they've had no contact with the Cardinals as it relates to D-Hop. I think this is another situation where they want to find themselves getting closer to the draft or even after it, see where they're at, see where things shake out, see if maybe the asking price from the Cardinals comes down before they make a move there."

That's what it comes down to if the Cowboys fully pursued Hopkins.

Hopkins would be an outstanding addition to the Cowboys, and when factoring in Pro Bowl receiver CeeDee Lamb, and hopefully a healthy Michael Gallup, Dallas would have one of the best-receiving corps in the league.

The buzz surrounding Hopkins coming to the Cowboys came when he was seen in Dallas with team legend Dez Bryant. However, that doesn't guarantee anything, so who knows how this will all play out.
