Chances are if you're a Dallas Cowboys fan, you've heard just about every stat and number that really drives home the point of how dominant Sunday's win over the New York Giants was.

40-0 is not easily attainable in the league and to do it with seven sacks and three takeaways speaks volumes about where the defense is at and most importantly, where it can go.

The Cowboys held Daniel Jones to 15 completions in 28 attempts for a meager 104  yards and two interceptions. At the end of the night, Jones' passer rating was at a dismal 32.4. But there's an even more telling stat that shows how the Cowboys basically turned Jones into a wide receiver.

Well, kind of. Do you remember the time the Denver Broncos had to play a wide receiver at quarterback in 2020, "the COVID year"? His name was Kendall Hinton. And you tell me who had a better offensive EPA (advanced efficiency metric): Hinton or Jones?

ESPN's Bill Barnwell has the answer for us. And Giants fans aren't going to love it.

How crazy is that? The Cowboys forced Jones, a $40 million-a-year quarterback, to slightly less efficiency than a wide receiver playing QB!

Now granted, it's not about Jones having a bad game by himself. The Giants' offensive line is an issue and they unsurprisingly lack the weapons on the perimeter to threaten a team playing Trevon Diggs and Stephon Gilmore at cornerback. Against Micah Parsons and friends? They stood no chance.

The game served as a reminder that the Cowboys are truly in another NFL tier than the Giants as of right now. This defense is truly the best there is in the league one week into the season and teams will need a lot more talent to come at them.
